Consumer Reviews Tell The Story

Every day a new anti aging cream commercial comes out and hypes up an experience promising drastic wrinkle reduction and an instant fountain of youth.  Some cleverly-produced commercials and advertisements have tricked me into buying an anti wrinkle cream that didn’t deliver.  Fed up with the hot air and bad experiences, I felt it was time to start documenting which wrinkle creams really work.

Anti aging creams - my personal diary of experiences. For 15 years I’ve tried and tested all sorts of skin care products, remedies, and even facial stretching exercises.  There are all sorts of them for sale on places like Amazon.com, and I can say that the vast majority don’t live up to their lofty claims.

Why was every product I bought not living up to my expectations?

I admit, I am an easy mark. I buy products on hype and fall for crafty marketing and well-produced advertisements.

How I learned an expensive lesson…

Before I became involved with the Internet, the only real way to gauge a product’s success was to ask friends, family, and co-workers.  However, how many people are really diligent about skin care in general, and how many really want to look their best, like I do?  I found that the average person doesn’t really care too much for treating their skin the right way, always protecting, moisturizing, and looking to treat signs of aging like wrinkles, fine lines, and discoloration.

What I learned in the process has Changed My Life!

When asking everyone “hey have you tried this new anti aging skin care product” didn’t yield the results I needed, I took my search to the Internet.

Wrinkle cream review websites and other consumer outlets where people like us can weigh in and share experiences are few, but they are incredible outlets for finding out which products really work and which ones should be avoided.  By reading what people say about certain products has led me to find anti wrinkle products that actually work.  Armed with this information, my whole perspective changed and now I’m a much more informed shopper.

This site serves as my personal diary about anti aging products, and I share with you products that work, including what I feel is the best wrinkle cream.  You can submit your own wrinkle cream reviews by leaving a comment, and I’ll gladly keep them on the site so everyone can read them.

Elite Serum Review

This was the product that helped me forget about all the anti-wrinkle creams I’ve thrown in the trash and chalked up as bad experiences!

Elite Serum is the REAL DEAL.

For starters, the packaging is as innovative as they make ‘em these days.  It’s an airless syringe style dispenser, so you don’t get any waste when you apply this under eye serum.  They always say if you don’t have clean hands you can contaminate a jar of wrinkle cream when you dip your fingers in there to apply any amount.  Airless pumps always have a history of breaking, so this is a refreshing product packaging I welcomed from the get-go.

Elite Serum is made by SkinPro, a laboratory specializing in using cosmeceutical peptides imported from trade partners in Europe like CenterChem, PenterPharm, Sederma, and Lipotec.  These science-minded companies create the most advanced peptides for companies like SkinPro, who in turn use them in their ranges of products like the Elite Serum I’m reviewing today.

Award Winning Eye Serum

When you look in the mirror and see crow’s feet, puffiness, and under eye circles, it’s disheartening. I went through stages where I tried every home remedy known to man (well, woman!) and then started spending money on drug store brands that were cheap fixes.  None of them worked.  I started investing in higher-priced brands and had mixed success, so I truly believe that products in the anti aging space really do give your more bang for your buck if you spend more than say $10 or $20 on product.  When you up to $59, like this product, you don’t get a watered-down product – instead you get a lab-formulated serum that has research behind it.

This product is not instant-results-based, but after a few days I noticed some discoloration turn for the better.  Fine lines and expression wrinkles, especially the crow’s feet (eye wrinkles) are really what I wanted to attack with this product, and I saw reduction in those after about 20 days.  The thing that did appear to be almost instant was the reduction of bags under my eyes that perk up when I don’t get enough sleep.

I do prefer this serum to an anti-wrinkle cream, mostly because creams can feel heavy and take longer to absorb.  What I liked about Elite Serum’s product is that it goes on easy and allows me to apply make-up after only a couple minutes.

Elite Serum reviews out there on big websites like EyeSerum.com echo my feelings and were the initial reason I bought the product to begin with.  With all the science backing up the product, I couldn’t argue with the experience and jumped right in with two feet.

How does Elite Serum work?

When you visit the website, you see a lot of information on different ingredients and all sorts of graphs and nitty gritty details on what exactly is inside the airless syringe. (Don’t let the word syringe scare you, this is NOT an injection – it’s just a really fancy package that makes the product easy to use and alleviates any concern of wasting the product.)

I know skin care ingredients dating back to the late 80′s, when I really started doing homework. That was before the Internet gave us so many outlets to find reviews and ingredients.  Back then it seemed every product was made with Aloe Vera or Shea Butter.  The landscape has changed, but I’ve stayed up on the trends and all the rage lately has been in the cosmeceutical peptides like the ones found in this under eye serum.

Perhaps the most impressive ingredient – Argireline.

There are many good peptides out there on the market today, but perhaps none better than the one even Dr. Oz talked about on his show called Argireline. People have compared this ingredient to injections like Botox and it really is the best ingredient to treat wrinkle depth.

Acetyl Hexapeptide 3 is the INCI name (scientific name) you’ll see on the ingredient label.  The clinical studies on this ingredient are incredible, and you can read those studies on the Elite Serum website.

SkinPro and their laboratory have used Argireline in their products since their inception.  They are widely considered among the pioneers in using this ingredient in their line of anti aging products.  So when Dr. Oz did a show in 2012 on Argireline, it brought a lot of attention to Elite Serum, since it was on the forefront of science & technology and had been marketing Argireline’s ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and facial wrinkles.

So, when you see crow’s feet starting to ruin the way the corner’s of your eyes look, it’s time to find a product that uses this magical ingredient.  I can say it’s worked wonders on my eye wrinkles.

Other Powerful Peptide Ingredients

Dark under eye circles are something that plague many people, even at a young age.  I’ve read (and tried) about everything on the market from putting cucumbers on top of them for twenty minutes to getting more sleep, and none of them work as well as using a topical eye serum withe the powerful ingredient known as Haloxyl.

Palmitoyl-Tetrapeptide 7 is the INCI name for this one, and while I haven’t seen much media coverage about it, it’s really the only thing out there that works for dark circles if you ask me.  This works by reducing fluid build-up in the capillaries, therefore increasing lymphatic drainage which will reduce discoloration around the eyes.

Some people are REALLY plagued by dark circles under their eyes, and the number one thing I can suggest from personal experience is using an eye serum like this one as well as drinking a lot of water every day.  This is proven by medical research, and it’s part of healthy living anyways.  They say to drink half of your body weight in ounces so if you weigh 150 pounds, drink about 75 ounces of water each day.  I’m living proof that this formula works, as I’ve been practicing this for years now and have kept weight off and never looked better.  Drinking proper amounts of water is the best way to really maintain radiant skin.

Eye bags can be a real pain in the butt.Eyeliss is an ingredient used to help decrease inflammation.  Most people refer to this as “puffy eyes” or just “puffiness.”  Others call these “eye bags” or “baggy eyes.”  Regardless of what you call it, this ingredient is another heavy-hitting cosmeceutical and has clinical studies which attribute over 70% reduction in bag volume under the eyes upon application.

Of course there are many other ingredients that make up Elite Serum’s time-tested formula, such as:  Matrixyl 3000 and Snap-8 (anti-wrinkle ingredients),  Syn-Coll (collagen booster), and red & green seaweed extract.  (Most spa’s use these ingredients in their luxury services and they are all-natural ingredients.  Any expensive serums you find will use a seaweed extract as a base.

You’ve heard my endorsement and review of Elite Serum.  For more information you can check out their official website here.

Update:  The below video was made by a licensed beauty professional.  It shows Elite Serum being applied.  I thought it was a good example of how Elite Serum dispenses and is applied to the face.
